Simbu’s brother and music director
Kuralarasan is the latest to get converted to Islam from Kollywood. It is said
that the young musician, who was accompanied by his father T Rajhendherr,
attended a ceremony to embrace the new religion at a mosque in Anna Salai. TR
has always been vocal about his love for all religions. Interestingly, his
daughter follows Christianity and Simbu, according to him, is an ardent
follower of Lord Siva.
Kuralarasan made his music debut with
the Simbu-starrer Idhu Namma Aalu which released in 2016. The film had its
share of controversies when director Pandiraj expressed regret for working with
Kural as the former accused the latter for being lethargic in his work. Of
late, he has been working on a couple of Bollywood films and Hindi albums. The
music director, who had completed work for around 30 songs for various Hindi
projects, had said a while ago that he will make an official announcement
regarding his project in Bollywood soon.
Kural had also finished an independent
album in English which has five songs. The songs, which have been written and
sung by US artistes, were recorded in New York.
