Joseph Vijay known professionally as Vijay, is an Indian film actor and playback singer who works in Tamil cinema. Vijay is referred to by the media as Thalapathy (commander).

Vijay was born to S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Vijay initially appeared as a child actor in special appearances under his father's direction, starting with Vetri (1984) to Ithu Engal Neethi (1988). He made his debut under his father's direction as a teen-age lead actor in Naalaya Theerpu (1992), but his first successful film as lead actor was Poove Unakkaga (1996), which was directed by Vikraman. To date, he has acted in 61 movies as a lead actor and has won 40 awards including notable three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, one Cosmopolitan Award, one Indiatoday Award, eight Vijay Awards, three Edison Awards, two Vikatan Awards and was nominated for one National Award UK. Vijay as a playback singer has sung 32 songs to date.

Nayanthara (born Diana Mariam Kuriyan; 18 November 1984), is an Indian film actress who mainly appears in Tamil films and predominantly appears in other South Indian movies.

Nayanthara made her acting debut in the 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare with Jayaram. She made her debut in Tamil cinema with Ayya (2005) and Telugu with Lakshmi (2006). Both were successful. After this she had numerous commercially successful Tamil and Telugu films like Chandramukhi (2005), Dubai Seenu (2007), Tulasi (2007), Billa (2007), Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), Aadhavan (2009), Adhurs (2010), Simha (2010), Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010), Sri Rama Rajyam (2011), Raja Rani (2013), Arrambam (2013), Thani Oruvan (2015), Maya (2015), Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015), Babu Bangaram (2016) and Iru Mugan (2016).

In 2010, she also made her Kannada film debut through the Kannada-Telugu bilingual film Super,[8] her only appearance in a Kannada film to date. Her portrayal of Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam (2011) earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress and the Nandi Award for Best Actress. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for her performance in Raja Rani (2013) and Naanum Rowdy dhan (2015). Kochi Times named her in its "List of 15 Most Desirable Women in 2014".[9] In 2017, she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Malayalam Actress for her performance in Puthiya Niyamam (2016), marking her first Filmfare award in Malayalam

Mahesh is an Indian film actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. He made his debut in the 2010 film, Angadi Theru, directed by Vasanthabalan.

Mahesh was spotted by Vasanthabalan's assistants while playing for his school in a volleyball match in Tirunelveli and the director's team asked him to audition for a role in Angadi Theru. Despite rejecting their advances initially, he eventually agreed to join the team after finishing his board examinations and after being encouraged by his sports mentor to pursue a career in films. The film subsequently released in March 2010 to positive reviews, with Mahesh's performance being well received by critics.

However, since Angadi Theru, Mahesh has only been seen in low budget films with his immediate release Konjam Siripu Konjam Kobam (2011) taking a low key box office opening to poor reviews, while Yaasagan met with a similar fate. In 2015, he appeared in two further unnoticed films which had delayed releases, Iravum Pagalum Varum alongside Ananya and Buddhanin Sirippu, co-starring Mithra Kurian and Samuthirakani

Comedy Actor Suruli Rajan Death Reason Revealed| நடிகர் சுருளி ராஜன் எப்படி இறந்தார் தெரியுமா?

Suruli Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, near Theni. His father Ponniah Pillai worked as an accountant for farm owners of the adjoining areas in Theni. The child was named after the Suruli Velappar, the family deity at the temple atop a hill graced by the picturesque Suruli Falls.

Suruli Rajan lost his parents one after the other, and had to discontinue his schooling. He moved to his brother's house in Madurai and worked as an apprentice mechanic in a neighbourhood workshop. Bitten by the acting bug, he acted in several amateur stage plays in Madurai before moving to Madras in 1959 in search of greener pastures.

In spite of his passion for acting opportunities were few and far between. A sudden spate of opportunities in stage plays filled him with heartening optimism. He worked with various drama troupes, including those of O.A.K.Devar, pisir Ramarao, T.N. Balu and in Karunanidhi's 'kagithapoo' staged in aid of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party's election fund. It was filmmaker Joseph Thaliayath of The Citadel Film Corporation Pvt. Ltd who brought Suruli Rajan to cinema, first in a brief appearance in Iravum Pagalum in 1965 and soon after in a more noticeable comic role in Kaadhal paduthum paadu the year following.

His friendship with T.N. Balu earned him memorable roles in blockbusters by T.R.Ramanna like naan and MoondRezhuthu. Despite his young age Suruli Rajan was offered older roles in many of his early movies. Two other significant roles in his early years were the Madras Tamil spewing cameo in APN's Thirumalai thenkumari (1970) and that of the devout fisherman in Aadhi parasakthi (1971). With his unique intonation and a flair for the absurd, Surulirajan rose to popularity in the late 70s.

Though at times bordering on the bawdy, he seldom failed to elicit a laugh. Suruli's brilliant portrayal of a niggardly rustic in M.A.Khaja's Maanthoppu Kiliye (1979) fetched him rare plaudits and has earned a place of pride in the annals of the immortal comedy sequences of Tamil cinema. 'It never rains, but pours' they say, and Suruli's capers had become a mandatory inclusion in most movies of the time. He created a record by acting in not less than 50 movies in a single year in 1980. His career was cut short due to his untimely death in 1980 while he was in the peak of his career

Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati (2 December 1960 – 23 September 1996), better known by her stage name Silk Smitha, was an Indian film actress who worked predominantly in South Indian films. She entered the industry as a side actress and first got noticed for her role as "Silk" in the 1979 Tamil film Vandichakkaram. She became a major sex symbol and the most sought-after erotic actress in the 1980s. In a career spanning 17 years, she appeared in over 450 films in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages. On 23 September 1996, she was found dead in her apartment in Chennai, apparently having committed suicide.

Actress Anushka overtakes Nayanthara | நயன்தாராவை நாசம் செய்த அனுஷ்கா

Bhaagamathie is an upcoming Indian Telugu-Tamil-Malayalam multilingual thriller film written and directed by G. Ashok. It stars Anushka Shetty in the lead role, with Unni Mukundan, Jayaram, and Asha Sarath in other pivotal roles. Principal photography commenced in June 2016 in Hyderabad, and the film is scheduled to be released on 26 January 2018. The dubbed Malayalam version is also titled Baagamathie and to be released on the 26th as well.

Dubsmash Fame Mrinalini Sarabhai Got Luck| டப்மாஷ் புகழ் மிருனாளினிக்கு அடித்த யோகம்

Mrinalini, who is popular on social media for her dubsmash videos, is all set to make her debut in Kollywood. She has been signed on to play the female lead in the upcoming Tamil film, Nagal, which will be directed by debutant Suresh Kumar.

Confirming the news, the director says, 'This film has only a single lead character throughout, which will be a challenging role to play. The film has no other characters. The story will revolve around the character, which will be essayed by Mrinalini. We have seen her dubsmash videos and approached her with the script. She is an IT professional in Bengaluru, and in this film, too, she is playing a working professional. As she was impressed by the story and the role, she agreed to work on it.'

The director adds, 'Her character in the film will travel from one place to another. The incidents that take place during her travel forms the crux of the story. We will start shooting for the film from February 20 in the city.'

Bigg Boss Tamil is the Tamil-language version of the reality TV programme Bigg Boss broadcast in India. It follows the Big Brother format, which was first developed by Endemol in the Netherlands. Bigg Boss Tamil has rolled out on 25 June 2017 on Star Vijay. Kamal Haasan host the show.

Bigg Boss Tamil is a reality show based on the Hindi show Bigg Boss which too was based on the original Dutch Big Brother format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants (known as "housemates") live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. Each week, housemates nominate two of their fellow housemates for eviction, and the housemates who receives the most nominations would face a public vote. Eventually, one housemate would leave after being "evicted" from the House. In the final week, there were three housemates remaining, and the public voted for who they wanted to win. Unlike other versions of Big Brother, the Indian version uses celebrities as housemates, not members of the general public.
