Commodity market is a market that trades in primary economic sector rather than manufactured products. Soft commodities are agricultural products such as wheat, coffee, cocoa, fruit and sugar. Hard commodities are mined, such as gold and oil. Investors access about 50 major commodity markets worldwide with purely financial transactions increasingly outnumbering physical trades in which goods are delivered. Futures contracts are the oldest way of investing in commodities. Futures are secured by physical assets. Commodity markets can include physical trading and derivatives trading using spot prices, forwards, futures, and options on futures. Farmers have used a simple form of derivative trading in the commodity market for centuries for price risk management.
A stock market, equity market or share market is the aggregation of buyers and sellers (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete entity) of stocks (also called shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses; these may include securities listed on a public stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. Examples of the latter include shares of private companies which are sold to investors through equity crowdfunding platforms. Stock exchanges list shares of common equity as well as other security types, e.g. corporate bonds and convertible bonds.
60 Vayadu Maaniram Movie Review by Praveena | Vikram Prabhu,
Prakash Raj, Samuthirakani| 60 Vayadu Maaniram Review
60 Vayadhu Maaniram Movie Synopsis: An ambitious son sets
out to find his missing father, who suffers from memory loss, with the help of
two people
60 Vayadhu Maaniram Movie Review: Radha Mohan's films are
known for its natural portrayal of emotions and bonding between relationships.
His latest, 60 Vayadhu Maaniram, a remake of Kannada film Godhi Banna Sadharana
Mykattu, is no different. Its story revolves around Govindharaj (Prakash Raj),
a retired college professor who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. As his wife
passed away due to cancer a few years ago, his ambitious son Siva (Vikram
Prabhu) has admitted him in a home where Alzheimer patients are treated.
Siva, who comes to meet his father from Mumbai, takes the
latter out for sometime. After they spent time together, he finds him missing.
With the help of Archana (Indhuja), a doctor of the care home and Bhanu (Mohan
Ram), Govind's friend, he sets out to find his father.
Meanwhile, Ranga (Samuthirakani), a goon, tries to kidnap a
builder based on his boss's order. The plot becomes interesting when Govind
gets into Ranga's vehicle which has the kidnapped person. The circumstances
bring Ranga, his assistant and Govind to a family man's home where things get
intriguing.
The film is more or less treated in the same way its
original version has been shot. Among all, Prakash Raj as the simple old man
who suffers from the disease stands out. The actor pulls off his role
effortlessly. Vikram Prabhu, as the self-centered son who regrets his mistakes,
does a decent job. Indhuja seems to be comfortable in the role offered to her
and does her part well.
Elango Kumaravel, a regular in Radha's films, leaves a mark
this time, too, thanks to his witty one-liners. Madhumita, who played his wife,
does justice to her character. As the ruthless goon, Samuthirakani scores again
and comes up with a convincing performance. On the downside, some of the scenes
appear staged. While a few sequences bring out the emotions well, there are
moments where one feels that it is forced. However, the movie appeals to those
who haven't watched the original version or love watching stories on beautiful
bondings.

Merku Thodarchi Malai Movie Review by Praveena | Antony,
Lenin Bharathi, Vijay Sethupathi| Merku Thodarchi Malai Review
Merku Thodarchi Malai tells the story of a hardworking
labourer (Rangasamy) who lives in the western ghats with the dream to own a piece
of land and earn a living by farming. He toils really hard to make his ends
meet. Will his wish come true, will he lead a happy life after that? The film
talks about all this but more than that, it shows the life of the people living
in that hilly terrain in the most natural and realistic way possible.
Even the acting is kept very subtle, as you don’t see any
character overreacting at any point in time. It doesn’t seem like you are even
watching a movie. There is hardly anything that is sugar-coated in MTM. The
film talks about the plight of the protagonist throughout, but you rarely see
him expressive, crying or feeling sad. It is like, 'this is my life, no matter
how hard I work, I am not qualified to have a content life that I dream off.'
Director Lenin Bharathi has tried to make the narrative as
natural as possible. In fact, to keep the film less emotional, he has
restricted the sad phase of the lead to a greater extent, for example, the hero
resorts to drinking after having a financial setback. But these stereotypic
scenes aren't shown on screen, but conveyed through dialogues.
The first half largely talked about the lesser-known
habitual practices of the people living in those mountains and their
livelihood. Audience with no exposure to the characters’ lifestyle, will be
awestruck to see to what extent people go for their bread and butter. Vijay
Sethupathi needs to be praised for funding this film.

The first half was more feel good than being emotional.
Though the film travels at a slow pace, there is always something new to learn
from the life of the people. To make it lively, Lenin has wisely used the
talent and expertise of Theni Eswar. The life in his visuals, his camera
angles, and the aerial shots take you to a different world, as it is so
naturally aesthetic. There is hardly any close-up shots for the actors, he has
used nature as the prop in almost all his frames and nothing else.
Maestro Ilaiyaraaja has left the visuals to do the talking
and used music only when it is absolutely necessary. He is one of those very
few music directors who knows the beauty that silence possess. During the
second half, when the story gets a little intense, Ilaiyaraaja uses his musical
prowess to enhance the visuals. Be it the costume designer or the art
department, they have made sure that the script has got everything that it
needs, not more or not less.

Imaikkaa Nodigal Movie Review by Praveena | Atharvaa,
Nayanthara, Anurag Kashyap, Raashi Khaana| Imaikkaa Nodigal Review
After debuting with a successful horror outing Demonte
Colony, director Ajay Gnanamuthu returns with a psycho-thriller Imaikka
Nodigal, produced by Cameo Films. This film has Nayanthara, Atharvaa and Anurag
Kashyap in the lead roles with Vijay Sethupathi in a supporting cameo.
Imaikka Nodigal, in short, is a game of ego. It is all about
the cat and mouse game between Anjali (Nayanthara), her brother Arjun
(Atharvaa) and a psychotic villain played by Anurag Kashyap. Though, the basic
plot doesn't end there. Watch the film to find out more!
To discuss the technical aspects first, RD Rajasekar, the
cinematographer has done a good job with the visuals as the lighting and frames
are interesting and they don't seem tacky at any point. For a film that runs
for 2 hours and 50 minutes, we expect the film to not allow us to blink
(Imaikka Nodigal, isn't it?). But, the romance portions in the first half
involving Atharvaa and Raashi Khanna seems to be purely a commercial fit in a
plot that genuinely has a lot to offer. However, except for the crispiness that
isn't projected, Bhuvan's edit pattern is neat. Some action sequences don't
seem to fit into the logic box, but since they have been shot in a compelling
manner, it passes off.
Hiphop Tamizha is one of the positive additions to this film
as his songs have already worked wonders (though they are unfortunate misfits
in the screenplay). His background score is worth a mention as it adds a lot of
value to the thrill in the screenplay. However, a few moments could have worked
well if silence was used effectively.
Ajay Gnanamuthu has instilled various sub-plots into Imaikka
Nodigal. The screenplay, however, could have been tighter and uncompromising in
terms of commercial aspects. Way too many flashbacks with some predictable
hints spoil the fun at parts. His attempt to portray Anurag Kashyap as a
menacing villain works! But somewhere, we might feel like we've gotten used to
such a characterization earlier. The dialogues are advantageous to this film
and they work well.
Coming to the performances, Raashi Khanna looks pretty and
puts up a decent show. Atharvaa showcases a lot of maturity in his portrayal of
the character. Nayanthara doesn't miss out on utilising every little
opportunity to prove why she is the ultimate lady superstar. She has different
shades to her character and aces every one of them. Vijay Sethupathi appears
for a very short while as Nayanthara's husband, but he never ceases to bring
that little element of joy and emotion to the story.
Expectedly, the show stealer happens to be Anurag Kashyap.
Without divulging too much into his character, all we can say is that he is an
interesting addition to our recently built list of psychotic villains. He
speaks with his eyes and convinces us that he could be deadly. His performance
is only 50% of the job, but director Magizh Thirumeni who has dubbed for Anurag
can gladly take the remaining 50% of the credit. His robust voice coupled with
Hiphop Tamizha's intimidating background score, adds significant value to the
villain's characterization.
Overall, ignoring intricate logical details and some
functional romantic scenes and predictability, Imaikka Nodigal could work for
the impressive performances and well-made sequences.
