Joseph Vijay, better known mononymously as Vijay, is an Indian film actor and playback singer who works in Tamil cinema and his films dubbed into Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Mandarin Chinese. Vijay is referred to by the media as Thalapathy (commander).
Vijay initially appeared as an uncredited child artist from the age of ten in films under his father S. A. Chandrasekhar's direction, starting with Vetri (1984) to Ithu Engal Neethi (1988). He also made his debut under his father's direction as a teen-age lead actor in Naalaya Theerpu (1992), but his first successful film as lead actor was Poove Unakkaga (1996), which was directed by Vikraman.[9][10] To date, he has acted in 61 movies as a lead actor and has won 50 awards including notable three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, one Cosmopolitan Award, one Indiatoday Award, one SIIMA Award, eight Vijay Awards, three Edison Awards, two Vikatan Awards and was nominated for one National Award UK.[11] As a playback singer, Vijay has sung 32 songs to date, starting with Bombay City (1994) to Papa Papa (2017).

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar (born: 5 March 1985) is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. She was born to actor Sarathkumar and Chaya, while her stepmother is Raadhika Sarathkumar. Varalaxmi is graduate in microbiology from Hindustan Arts and Science college, Chennai with a Master’s in Business Management degree from the University of Edinburgh, and honed her acting skills at Anupam Kher’s Acting School in Mumbai, before becoming an actress. She made her debut with the Tamil movie Podaa Podi (2012).

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (English: Crimson Sky) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film co-written and directed by Mani Ratnam. The film features an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Silambarasan and Arun Vijay as the lead actors, with the lead female cast led by Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dayana Erappa.
The venture is jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran under their banners Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, the music is composed by A. R. Rahman, while Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor. The film claimed to be inspired by true events revolves around four siblings that fight for the throne to become the next godfather succeeding their father.
Principal photography of the film commenced on 12 February 2018 at the outskirts of Chennai and completed by 2 June 2018 at Serbia. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on 28 September 2018 along with its dubbed Telugu version Nawab.

Vani Rani is the popular serial that has been running for years in Sun TV. The serial is the production venture of Radhika Sarathkumar and she plays the lead role in it. Radhika plays dual roles; one as an advocate and the other a homemaker. Venu Arvind and Babloo Prithviraj pair Radhika. Prabhas (born Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati on 23 October 1979) is an Indian film actor best known for his work in Telugu cinema.[3] Prabhas made his film debut with the 2002 drama film Eeswar. His works include Varsham (2004), Chatrapathi (2005), Chakram (2005), Billa (2009), Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Mirchi (2013). Prabhas played the title role in S. S. Rajamouli's epic film Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), which is the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film to date. Geetha Govindam is undeterred by the new releases as it made a good collection at the worldwide box office in the second weekend. Vijay Devarakonda's film has inched closer to Rs 100 crore mark in 12 days.
Geetha Govindam took the worldwide box office by the storm and collected Rs 81 crore gross in the nine-day-extended first week. The movie clashed with Neevevaro, Aatagallu, Anthaku Minchi and Lakshmi from its second Friday. The trade experts predicted that the new releases, which forced it out from cinema halls, might take a toll on its collection in the global market in its second week.
As predicted, its collection was partially affected by the new release on its second Friday, but it was much bigger than the opening day business of the new movies. But Geetha Govindam went to become the first choice for many viewers after the all the releases garnered mixed talk from the audience and critics.
The one-week-old flick went on strength to strength on its second Saturday and Sunday.
Geetha Govindam is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 12.75 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its second weekend and its 12-day total collection has Rs 93.75 crore gross in the global market. The movie needs to mint Rs 6.25 crore gross to surpass Rs 100 crore gross mark and it is likely to achieve this feat by the end of its second week.
Geetha Govindam has been made with a shoe-string budget of Rs 5 crore and its theatrical rights were sold for a whopping price of Rs 15 crore. The Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is estimated to have earned Rs 51 crore for its distributors in 12 days. The movie has recovered 340 per cent of their investments.
