Karunakaran lands a role in Sivakarthikeyan’s next
Sivakarthikeyan has established himself as one of the most
bankable stars with back-to-back hits. The ‘Velaikkaran’ actor is now teaming
up with director Ravi Kumar for an upcoming sci-fi thriller. While the film is
currently in its pre-production stage, some interesting news has cropped up.
As per the latest development, actor Karunakaran has been
roped in to play an important role in the film. It must be noted that
Karunakaran played a crucial role in the director’s ‘Indru Netru Naalai’.
To be made on a big budget, the project is being produced by
24 AM Studios, which has bankrolled films like ‘Remo’ and ‘Velaikkaran’.
Academy Award winner AR Rahman is on board for the project. Recently, a picture
of Rahman along with Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Kumar did the rounds on the
internet. The happening actress Rakul Preet Singh has been finalised as the
leading lady. If reports are to be believed, the film is likely to release by
the end of this year.
On the career front, Sivakarthikeyan awaits the release of
the rural entertainer ‘Seema Raja’, directed by Ponram. He will also be working
with director M Rajesh for a forthcoming comedy, which will be produced by
Studio Green.
