Petta is making rapid strides at the
box office and is setting up new records with every passing day. Karthik
Subbaraj has given out a complete package for Rajinikanth fans and the film has
garnered a lot of 'repeat audience'.
The production house Sun Pictures have
come out with the box office collection of the Rajinikanth-starrer. According
to the report, Petta will cross Rs 100 crore-mark on Sunday in Tamil Nadu
alone.
Petta will become the first-ever Tamil
film to garner Rs 100 crore in 11 days, according to the report.
At the international box office, Petta
has collected Rs 65 crore till date. Malikstreams, one of the international
distributors of Petta, has said that the film has done good business and
everyone is happy because of the movie.
Going by the reports, Petta will
effortlessly cross Rs 200-crore mark at the worldwide box office next week.
Petta, which is on the lines of
Rajinikanth's 1995 film Baasha, seems to have satisfied the audience from all
walks of life.
Other than Rajinikanth, the film stars
Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sasi Kumar and Simran in lead roles.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film.
