Dhivyadharshini, one of the star anchors of Tamil TV, who has also acted in a handful of Tamil films like Pa Pandi, has filed for a divorce from her husband Srikanth Ravichandran at a family court in Chennai, according to a source. It is safe to say that DD is the most popular anchor in Tamil Nadu, known for her shows like Namma Veetu Kalyanam and Coffee With DD. She enjoys a considerable fan following too.
DD got married to Srikanth in 2014 in a grand wedding ceremony. It is learnt that the misunderstanding between DD and her in-laws led to the couple's decision of parting ways. Her husband's family didn't want her to act post marriage, and this was responsible for differences of opinion between the couple, according to a report published in The Hindu (Tamil).
The couple has filed for a divorce by mutual consent. As per the regulations, the married couple will be given six months' cooling period, in case they want to re-think their decision. In the past, rumours of DD's divorce reached gossip columns several times. There was similar speculation earlier too, but DD has always come out and trashed them.
