The Telugu film industry has been facing untimely leaks of songs, stills or teaser trailers of late. The latest victim is Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni-starrer, Rangasthalam. Mythri Movie Makers have filed a complaint with the cyber crime branch in Hyderabad, alleging that stills from the film have been released unofficially.
“Our film, Rangasthalam is a Telugu feature film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, starring Ram Charan and Samantha directed by Sukumar. We had to face unofficial release of our movie still photos of some unidentified people (2 still photos on 09-12-2017 and 2 more on 10-12-2017). We are suspecting that it may not stop here with a couple of still photos and are afraid about other material they might have with them. It affects a great deal of promotional activities of the film at subsequent stages. So, sir please investigate the issue and do the needful,” stated the complaint to the Commissioner of Police.
Production Manager, I Laxman Rao registered the complaint on December 11. The first look of the film was released on December 8 and Ram Charan’s look was positively received by the audience. He will be playing the role of Chitti Babu in the film, which is set to release on March 30, 2018.
Ram Charan is also busy with his second production venture under the banner Konidela Production Company. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has an excellent cast which includes Ram Charan’s father, megastar Chiranjeevi, in the lead role. He will be joined by Amitabh Bachchan and Nayanthara. The father-son duo are collaborating for the second time after Khiladi 150, which released on January 11.
