2.0 is an upcoming Indian science
fiction action film written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B.
Jeyamohan, and produced by A. Subaskaran.[3][5] A spiritual successor to
Enthiran (2010), 2.0 will feature Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr.
Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.[6] With an
estimated budget of ₹543 crore,[4] it is the most expensive
Indian film made to date.[7][8] The film is shot in Tamil and will be released
in 14 other languages with dubbed versions.[9][10] A teaser of the film was
released on 13 September 2018,[11][12] followed by a trailer which released on
November 3.[13] The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on 29
November 2018.
