#AmeeshaPatel #AjayKumar
Ameesha Patel has landed herself in a
legal soup. The actress, along with her business partner Kuunal Groomer, have
been accused of fraud. Film producer Ajay Kumar Singh, who's gearing up for his
next project has slapped a case on Ameesha for not returning the Rs 2.5 crore
she had borrowed from him to make the film titled Desi Magic. The film never
saw the light of day.
Ajay Kumar has filed a complaint in
the Ranchi court, alleging fraud and cheque bouncing. He told a daily that he
had given her Rs 2.5 crore to complete their film Desi Magic, and he has only
bounced cheques to show for it right now.
Talking about the incident, Kumar
said, "I had given Ameesha and Kuunal Rs 2.5 crore when they visited
Ranchi in March last year for an event. They had told me the film would release
by June 2018 and would be a profitable venture for me. It has yet to arrive at
the theatres and when I badgered them, they promised to return my money with
interest in two-three months. They even gave me a cheque of Rs 3 crore but it
bounced and when I went back to them, they told me this time that they had no
intention of refunding my money. They also threatened me by showing me
Ameesha’s photos with some influential people. They say the film will release
this year, but I haven’t got any updates on their plans."
On the work front, Ameesha began her
acting career with back-to-back hits, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Gadar - Ek Prem
Katha, but could not replicate the same success in her later films. She was
last seen action-comedy Bhaiaji Superhit.

Super Deluxe 1st Day Collection |
Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha | Super Deluxe First Day Mass Collection
#SuperDeluxeboxoffice #VijaySethupathi
#Samantha
Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s latest Super
Deluxe released on Friday. The film is Kumararaja’s second directorial after
2011’s Aaranya Kaandam. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil,
Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan and Mysskin among others.
There is a lot of positive buzz
surrounding Super Deluxe. The trailers and promos too had piqued the
moviegoers’ interest and has generated much discussion on social media. The
reviews are pretty impressive as well.
Super Deluxe should have a great
opening especially in its home market considering the amount of attention it
has received. The word-of-mouth appears to be effusive with praise.
Subhakeerthana wrote, “Vijay
Sethupathi is brilliant as Shilpa, and it’s one of the most honest transwoman
characters in the history of Tamil cinema. Throughout the film, you only see
Shilpa. Fahadh Faasil pulls off his role with subtleties and you could say
Vembu, perhaps, is Samantha’s best in her career so far. Watch out for
Bhagavathi Perumal’s role, and whenever he appears on the screen, you feel like
dragging his shirt and slap him.”
She added, “There are no songs in
Super Deluxe, but Yuvan Shankar Raja reignites the magic by using his father
Ilaiyaraaja’s iconic songs in bits and pieces. As I walked out of the film, I
started muttering—life isn’t a chance of random meetings and coincidences, but
we are all connected. Also, life is way too real, and if you delve deeper into it,
there’s just no purpose or meaning. ‘Real’ is good and you live it. I knew that
was all I needed. Honestly, I don’t mind waiting for another eight years if I
am going to get another Super Deluxe or even a better masterpiece from
Kumararaja.”

Commodity market is a market that trades in primary economic sector rather than manufactured products. Soft commodities are agricultural products such as wheat, coffee, cocoa, fruit and sugar. Hard commodities are mined, such as gold and oil. Investors access about 50 major commodity markets worldwide with purely financial transactions increasingly outnumbering physical trades in which goods are delivered. Futures contracts are the oldest way of investing in commodities. Futures are secured by physical assets. Commodity markets can include physical trading and derivatives trading using spot prices, forwards, futures, and options on futures. Farmers have used a simple form of derivative trading in the commodity market for centuries for price risk management.
A stock market, equity market or share market is the aggregation of buyers and sellers (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete entity) of stocks (also called shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses; these may include securities listed on a public stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. Examples of the latter include shares of private companies which are sold to investors through equity crowdfunding platforms. Stock exchanges list shares of common equity as well as other security types, e.g. corporate bonds and convertible bonds.

Political Issue
#MNM #KamalHaasan #ElectionCampaign
Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan began a new innings on
Thursday as he formally began seeking votes for his party, Makkal Needhi Maiam
or MNM, along Chennai's IT Corridor for the Lok Sabha elections that begin next
month.
His first stop was at the Tsunami Settlements which house
the tsunami affected communities besides people dislocated after being evicted
from encroached areas. Many, including elderly men and women, gathered here. An
elderly woman told NDTV, "I came to listen to what Kamal has to say. I am
not here to see the actor. Even if parties pay money we would vote for a party
our mind directs us to."
On a road show atop a mini bus with his South Chennai
candidate Rangarajan by his side, Kamal Haasan promised drinking water to all
houses, a corruption free government and generation of jobs. He said, "By
checking looting alone we can run two states. We would be corruption free.
Along the IT Corridor alone we can generate two lakh jobs. Give us a chance we
would prove ourselves. After being lazy for forty years they can't say how can we
do this. We will do it."
Kamal Haasan is not contesting but has fielded 58
candidates; 40 for Lok Sabha and 18 for assembly by-elections, roping in a few
smaller parties.
Kamal Haasan drew labourers and youngsters. As he moved to
Velacherry, the heart of the software industry, many techies and youngsters
gathered to listen to him. Nivedha, a skill developer, said, "I'd support
Kamal Hassan. He wants to help the underprivileged." Another old man who
stood listening to Kamal Haasan said, "If he comes it's good. It doesn't
work if the same people keep coming. Good things would happen only when new
people come."
Kamal and the candidate made a rooftop appearance only at
the designated spots.
With fighting corruption and development as focus, Kamal
Haasan chose to not align with the Dravidian arch rivals DMK and AIADMK. He had
earlier commented, "I'd not want to taint my hands."
He had said no to the BJP too, saying saffron is not his
colour. Initial indications of a tie up with the Congress didn't work out.
Three decades ago, Kamal Haasan turned his fan clubs into a
welfare organization. Recently, he launched a whistleblower app to empower
communities and had adopted a few villages to showcase his model of
development.
With the two tallest leaders in Tamil Nadu politics, J
Jayalalithaa and M Karunanidhi, no more, many say there is space for fresh
political thought and leadership in the state. It's a four-cornered contest.
Kamal Haasan must be hoping these crowds would translate into votes and empower
him to scale new heights in politics, just like his acclaimed film career.

சற்றுமுன்நடிகர்பாபிசிம்ஹாதிடீர்கைது! கோலிவுட்டில்பரபரப்பு | Actor Bobby
Simha got arrested
#BobbySimha #JohnPaulraj #AgniDevi
Tamil actor Bobby Simha recently came
under fire when a police complaint was filed against him by the Tamil Film
Producers Council (TFPC). The actor was reportedly troubling the makers of film
Agni Dev in which he had appeared. In the police complaint, the makers,
including the director and producers, claimed that Bobby had filed a false
complaint which reportedly said that the makers had used his body double in the
film without his consent.
According to a Bollywood Life report,
John Pulraj, the director and producer of Agni Dev, had his differences with
Bobby that resulted in the actor leaving the film midway. John then had no
other option but to finish the film with what was left of the footage. The
publication also quoted SS Durai as saying, “Bobby has been asked to withdraw
the complaints. He has agreed to do it and has been given two days to do so. If
he fails to do it, we will be forced to take punitive action on him.”
According to a New Indian Express
report, Bobby had alleged that the script of the film was different from what
was narrated to him that made him opt out of the project. This resulted in
Nandambakkham Police booking the director under charges that included criminal
breach of trust and forgery of documents.
Sreedhar Pillai, the General Secretary
of the TFPC, took to Twitter to post a press release on behalf of the union. He
captioned the post, "Tamil Film Producer Council issues a press release on
taking action against #BobbySimha at #PoliceCommissionerOffice. The #FIR
against the concerned producer has been canceled."
Agni Dev, ahead of its release, got
mired in several controversies. The film, that featured Madhoo and Remya
Nambeessa in pivotal roles, was released a week ago. It has underperformed at
the box-office.

The opening credits of Super Deluxe
are reminiscent of Kumararaja’s earlier work Aaranya Kaandam, and are played
over Senthamizh Paadum from Vaira Nenjam, if I remember correctly. The opening
scene, too, reminds one of how Subbu was introduced in Aaranya Kaandam. There,
the woman was treated like a piece of meat. Here, the woman feels pleasure. You
hear the squeaky sounds of the bed. The camera slowly pans to establish every
minute details of the room. All this happens over ‘I’m A Disco Dancer’ song,
and the title card appears in a Kumararaja-esque style.
In more than one way, Super Deluxe can
be seen as a spiritual successor to Aaranya Kaandam. If the latter was about
male impotency, Super Deluxe embraces the idea of sexual fantasies; Kumararaja
delves deeper into the darker side of human mind, without being least
judgemental about his characters. If Aaranya Kaandam tried answering what
dharma is, Kumararaja takes it a notch higher in Super Deluxe and questions the
concept of morality, and how humans derive their own boundaries, in a more
exploitative way. It makes a comment about chaos theory and how meaningless
life is. The film, in many ways, is the result of a confluence of four
different world views (written by Kumararaja, Mysskin, Nalan Kumarasamy and
Neelan K Sekar). And it’s amusing how Kumararaja connects interrelated themes
and subjects within the confines of his milieu. He seems to rejoice the
genre-hopping; the film begins as a black comedy and ends like a dramedy on life,
sex and spirituality. And that's the least spoiler-free review one could write
about a film that is overly layered.
At its heart, Super Deluxe is about
four stories that are interwoven together, making it hard to guess who wrote
what. Mugil (Fahadh Faasil) and Vaembu (Samantha Akkineni in a remarkable
performance) are in a marriage of convenience. Something terrible yet
insanely-funny incident happens to them and that triggers a series of
unwarranted events. Their conflicting-yet-affectionate nature makes you wonder
as to what would have happened to Chappai and Subbu (from Aaranya Kaandam) had
they lived together. Elsewhere, a motley group of sex-deprived teenagers visit
a CD shop to satisfy their quest for bittu padam. For some strange reasons, I
kept thinking about Chittu and his gang from Aaranya Kaandam, and what if it
was their coming-of-age story, before they discovered the art of seducing older
women? Kumararaja never really explored the warring relationship between
Kodukapuli and Kalaiyan, and brushed it off with a powerful “avaru en appa”.
But he does in Super Deluxe, which comes in the form of Shilpa (Vijay
Sethupathi) and Rasukutty. Shilpa is the most honest portrayal of a transgender
in a long time. She’s humanised; we see why she’s rejected by society. We
empathise with her when she says this about sexuality: Serupa maathi podra
mathiri. We sense her helplessness when she’s assaulted at a police station. It
helps that Vijay Sethupathi was chosen to play this complicated, dark
character. He brings a certain vulnerability, especially when Shilpa meets
Arputham (Mysskin). Which brings us to the shockingly-delightful story about
Arputham and Leela (Ramya Krishnan in her boldest role yet).
Super Deluxe draws humour from the
most unlikeliest places. When Shilpa demonstrates how eunuchs earn money with a
sharp clap, Rasukutty says, “Ae...super pa nee.” The film, in fact, makes a
self-reverential joke about Aaranya Kaandam, when a gangster prods an important
question: kadaisiya enna padam paatha? Remember the Kamal-Rajini banter? A
deeply religious person turns blind eye to an important piece of information.
His whole life has been a lie. And when he breaks open the sacred sculpture, he
finds diamonds in it. It's a brilliant touch. Another filmmaker would have
explained the why. Kumararaja doesn't.
No other filmmaker has probably
romanticised the Tamil cinema universe with pop culture references as much as
Kumararaja. Consider the scene where a character croons Vanithamani from Vikram
before watching porn, or the one where a character drapes saree over the Maasi
maasam song (It isn’t a coincidence that a doctor is named after MS
Viswanathan). If Subbu went through a Baasha-like transformation in Aaranya
Kaandam, a character here (ironically named Manickam) undergoes a similar
transformation. There are inside jokes too. Arputham invents his own bible
called Anjathey Nambu. Rings a bell? And these bits aren't added just to make
them look cool.
In one of the earliest stretch, a
character says, “Dai rascal! Enna maranthutiya?” For a moment, it felt as
though Kumararaja was asking this question to us: it’s been eight years since
he made a film. If Super Deluxe is what you get from a filmmaker who was in
exile, then you don't mind waiting a few years from now till he comes up with
his next eccentric film.
