singer Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy hospital today afternoon.
The singer complained of breathing issues and was immediately taken to the
hospital.
A source said
that she was admitted to the hospital at around 1:30 PM and is being treated
since then. As per a report in PTI, an insider has said that the singer is in
critical condition and is in ICU.
Meanwhile, on
the professional front, Lata is one of the most respected playback singers in
India and has recorded songs in over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs
in over thirty-six regional Indian languages and foreign languages. Lata has
been bestowed with many prestigious awards that include, DadaSaheb Phalke
Awards, Bharat Ratna, three national awards and many more.
