Reports have emerged of actress Jyothika being offered a key
role in a new movie for which her brother-in-law Karthi has already been signed
up as the hero.
Actor Karthi is doing his 18th film, after the last one
which was titled Dev. This new film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who
had directed the movie Maanagaram. It is learnt that the title chosen for this
film, being produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, is Kaidi.
The film is supposed to be centred around gangsters and will
be based on one full night’s happenings and there is no female lead proposed in
the story and the first look posters are likely to be out soon.
Karthi has signed up for a couple of more movies after this.
One of them, supposed to be a romantic, family movie will be directed by
Bakkiyaraj Kannan who had directed Remo. Paired opposite Karthi in this movie
will be Rashmika Madonna of Geethagovindam fame.
Following this, fans have been gladdened by an announcement
on another film with Karthi in the lead. Karthi has signed up for a movie to be
directed by Jeetu Joseph, under whose direction the Malayalam film Drishyam
turned out to be a blockbuster. It may be noted that Jeethu Joseph had directed
the Tamil remake of that film with Kamala Haasan in the lead and titled
Papanasam.
The news that is sending cheers all around is that in this
movie, which is yet to be given a title, actress Jyothika, will collaborate
with Karthi and play a key role. Further, it is being stated that the character
she would do will be a strong one. The selection of the heroine for this movie
is currently under progress, reportedly.
A formal announcement regarding the same will be made soon.
And though the shooting for the movie with Bakkiyaraj Kannan has already
started, the chances of the one directed by Jeethu Joseph getting released
earlier are higher than the one in which Bakiaraj Kannan is the director,
according to the cinema circles.
