Vijay's upcoming film Thalapathy 63, directed by Atlee, is
slated to release on Diwali 2019 (October 27). The film is still being shot in
Chennai and it was earlier reported that Atlee's crew is busy filming on the
huge football set that was constructed on the outskirts of the city.
Looks like the film is nowhere near completion. However, it
has already raked in crores. There is always a huge demand for the satellite
rights of Vijay's film. Mersal made Rs 19 crore just with the satellite rights.
Breaking this record, Thalapathy 63 has now been bought for
Rs 28 crore, according to reports. Sun Network, which produced Vijay's last
film Sarkar, has bagged the rights of Thalapathy 63.
Directed by Atlee, the film stars Nayanthara, Yogi Babu,
Jackie Shroff, Kathir and many other popular faces of K-Town. The film has
music by AR Rahman and it is touted to be a sports drama about a women football
team.
Bollywood Supertstar Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to be
playing a brief role in the film. However, there has been no official statement
from the maker's side about the rumour.
