Shalu Shamu,
an upcoming Kollywood actress, who was recently seen in Sivkarthikeyan's Mr
Local, has come up with a shocking claim. In an Instagram conversation with her
followers, Shalu revealed that the director of an upcoming Vijay Deverakonda
film asked her to sleep with him for a role in it. However, Shalu didn't reveal
the name of the director.
A user asked
the actress whether she also had a #MeToo story. In response to the question,
Shalu admitted that she had faced such instances but she wouldn't complain
because she knows how to handle herself.
She then
added, "In case I complain, what is the use? Do you think the opponent
party is going to accept it wholeheartedly? Crazy world (sic)."
Shalu then
wrote, "Very recently I got an approach from a famous director to sleep
with him to get a choice in his new movie with Vijay Deverakonda (sic)."
Shalu has
played a few small roles in films like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Mr
Local. The actress is also a trained dancer.
Many
small-time actresses like Shalu have earlier come out with shocking statements
against popular faces of South Indian film industries.
Singer
Chinmayi, writer Leena Manimekalai, Tess Joseph, and Divya Unni have all come
forward with sexual allegations against many leading celebrities from the
South.
Lyricist
Vairamuthu, director Susi Ganesan and Radha Ravi are some of the personalities
who were named in the #MeToo movement.
