Ask any Tamil cinema enthusiast about their favourite Tamil film, and most of them will shout out 'Michael Madana Kama Rajan'. Known for its classic puns and super dialogues at almost every frame, the film was the beginning of a collaboration that went on become some of the most famous comedy films in Tamil cinema.

Upon hearing 'Crazy' Mohan's demise, the actor tweeted out a message:

"I have always been jealous of my friend Crazy Mohan's childlike attitude. Not everyone is blessed with it. In the process of becoming worldly-wise, many lose this exceptional quality," wrote Mr. Haasan in a statement released on Twitter.

"The title 'Crazy' does not suit him, since he is a Nagaisuvai Gnani (comic genius).He was someone who downplayed his talents to make his portrayals realistic and relatable to the public. At various circumstances, to show the nature of his bond with my family, he has referred to himself as Mohan 'Hassan', taking after my brothers Charuhassan and Chandra Hassan.

"As a sign of this friendship, along with his brother Balaji, we paid adieu to Mohan by keeping our hands on his forehead. There is no end to friendship. Can a friendship not exist without a person's physical presence? Mohan's comedy will live on through his fandom. I will also carry on his legacy."

"His family is a beautiful joint family. No number of condolences will suffice now. I hope that their mental strength will come to their aid at the time of this loss," Mr. Haasan wrote.
