Recently,
director AR Murugadoss said that he had initially planned to direct a film
based on Superstar Rajinikanth's famous characters Vettaiyan and Dr.Saravanan
from Chandramukhi but dropped the idea considering the practical difficulties.
Now,
Chandramukhi's original director P Vasu has revealed that he has already
completed the script work of Chandramukhi 2 and a leading actor will be playing
the lead role in the film.
Vasu also
added that a renowned production house will be bankrolling the sequel. But it looks like Rajinikanth is not playing
the lead role in the film since Vasu hasn't mentioned his name.
It's worth
mentioning here that Chandramukhi was a remake of Fazil's Manichitrathazhu.
