Manjeri (Malappuram): Actress Noorin Shereef was injured after a crowd attempted to manhandle her during the inauguration of a supermarket here the other day. Amid the clashes, Noorin sustained injuries on her nose. Following this, Noorin had to attend the event and address the gathering with a painful nose.

Noorin’s mother told mathrubhumi.com that the organisers had said the event was at 4 pm. Noorin and her mother arrived at a hotel in Manjeri by 4 pm. But the organisers asked them to wait at the hotel till 6 pm in order to gather more audience. Later, when Noorin arrived at the venue, the people turned aggressive.

The crowd surrounded the actress and her aides and started hitting on the car when she arrived. Meanwhile, somebody’s hand hit Noorin’s nose. Her mother said that Noorin had a minor bruise inside the nose following this. The people started shouting abusive words alleging her late arrival.
