Actress Sahana
Sheddy aka Sahana, who had quit TV show Azhagu, is back on it. While talking
exclusively to TimesofIndia.com the actress said she had to quit the show due
to 'some unavoidable issues'.
Sahana Sheddy
plays the role of Kavya Madhan, the second daughter of Azhagu (essayed by
Revathy) and Palaniswamy (played by Thalaivasal Vijay). Kavya Madhan aspires to
become a doctor and ends up marrying Madhan.
“Due to some
unavoidable issues, I quit from the serial earlier. Later, the makers of the
serial got in touch with me and sorted out all the differences and convinced me
to accept to rejoin the serial. The makers emphasised over the fact that my
role in the serial would be shaping up in a more powerful manner. I would have
more importance and added value in the story and have more scope to expose my
acting skills. Keeping in mind all these things, I have rejoined in the serial
Azhagu now. Fans can see me back in the serial as their favorite Kavya Madhan
for sure," she told TimesofIndia.com.
At the time of
quitting the show, Sahana had not given any reason and had said that she was on
the lookout for better opportunities.
Sahana said
she is proud of the fact that, apart from Revathy and Thalaivasal Vijay, she is
the only person to have been a part of Azhagu since day 1.
"All the
other artists have either joined in the serial later or became part of it as
replacements," she said.
Azhagu
features Revathy (as Azhagammai Palaniswamy aka Azhagu), Thalaivasal Vijay (as
Palaniswamy), Shruthi Raj (as Sudha Ravi), Sahana Shetty (as Kavya Madhan),
Sangeetha (as Poorna Mahesh), Gayatri Jayaraman (as Sakunthala Devi Aravind),
Manikandan Rajesh (as Mahesh Palaniswamy), Avinash Ashok (as Thirunavukkarasu
Palaniswamy aka Thiruna), Jairam (as Ganesh Sethuraman), Vignesh (as Madhan
Aravind), Niranjani Ashok (as Aishwarya Ganesh aka Aishu) and others.
Azhagu
premiered in November 2017 and has crossed 550 episodes. Apart from Azhagu,
Sahana is also seen in the show Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Naanum (in Nisha) and
would continue to be a part of it.
Sahana gained
popularity for her performance as Thamizhselvi aka Thamizh in the serial Pagal
Nilavu.
