Vijay Sethupathi Donates Rs. 50 Lakhs To Ariyalur !!
Actor Vijay Sethupathi has one again proved that why he is fondly called as 'Makkal Selvan' . Kollywood's most favorite and successful actor Vijay Sethupathi has donated Rs 50 Lakhs towards the welfare of Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu, which is the native place of Anitha who sadly ender her life over NEET - Medical Entrance Exam.For the past few days, we are seeing advertisements about Anil food products featuring Vijay Sethupathi, who is also a brand ambassador of this products. He has now announced that a part of his earnings from the ad campaigns, worth a whopping Rs. 50 lakh, will go towards funding the education of the needy.
In his statement, Vijay Sethupathi said “In terms of education, Ariyalur stands last among all the districts in Tamil Nadu. To provide better education in Ariyalur district, I’ve decided to donate Rs 5000 each to 774 Anganwadis (RS 38,70,000). Further, decided to give RS 50,000 each to twenty-one schools for blind and deaf in Tamil Nadu (Rs 10, 50,000). I’m also donating RS 50,000 to the Government aided Helen Keller school for the deaf in Ariyalur”. These funds will be distributed to the above mentioned institutions via the Tamil Nadu State Government.
"It is not only because Ariyalur is educationally backward, but that I wanted to do something for the place where Anitha once belonged to " says Vijay Sethupathi.
