Actor Vadivelu quit’s 24th
Pulikesi Movie – Shankar raised Complaint. Imsai Arasan 23 Aam Pulikesi was a
milestone in Vadivelu’s career. This not only established him as a solo hero in
a movie but even gave him an opportunity to act in a dual character. The film
was produced by S.Shankar and directed by Chimbu Deven 11 years ago. It was
expected that a sequel to the film will be again produced by Shakar’s S.
Pictures. Everything was set right.
Director Chimbu Deven was working
on the script and actor Vadivelu was the ultimate choice for the role. The film was to be titled as ‘ Imsai Arasan
24 Aam Pulikesi’. But then Vadivelu did not participate in the shooting of the
film and gave lame excuses to the producer. This behavior of Vadivelu irked the
producer S. Shankar and he complained the matter to Film Producer’s Council and
asked them to intervene and get back the advance paid to Vadivelu.
The producer even has made a
decision to make the movie with some other actor. At this moment, dropping of
Vadivelu from the project would only hurt the fans. Remember that even after
having released the first version of the movie a decade ago, its dialogue and
mimicry is hit in YouTube. And for whom? It is for Vadivelu alone.
