The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thumped
the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday by nine wickets. The jam-packed crowd
at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium was delighted with the team’s
performance and they enjoyed it to the hilt. But in the corporate box, some of
the people were not pleased and the reason for it was something bizarre.
A group of six people, in the
corporate box, were creating nuisance during the match by drinking alcohol. One
of the persons identified as Santhosh registered a complaint against that group
which also included a prominent Telugu TV actor Prashanthi. After the
complaint, the police have registered a case against her and her friends and it
is being learnt that they troubled the spectators in the neighbouring boxes as
well.
Santhosh alleged that Prashanthi and
her friends created a ruckus while also adding that they threatened him of dire
consequences for protesting according to The News Minute. The video of the
incident is going viral at the moment on social media. All the behaviour of the
actress has also been captured in the CCTV footage.
The visuals show that Prashanthi has
climbed on the chair celebrating the team’s performance before jumping on the
man in front of her who is possibly her friend. At the same time, the other
lady in the group could be seen filming it.
As far as the complaint is concerned,
the case has been registered under Section 341 (Punishment for wrongful
restraint), 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and
506 (Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides sections of
the City Police Act.
SRH, meanwhile, climbed to the fifth
position in the points table after winning their fifth game of the season and
have the superior net run-rate compared to the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) who also
have the same number of wins.
