Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 3 took a fantastic opening at the
Tamil Nadu box office. The film which carries mixed reports has appealed to its
target audiences of families during this summer holiday season.
Early trade estimates say that the film has grossed more
than 60 cr worldwide in its opening weekend and has registered the third-best
opening in 2019 after Viswasam and Petta in the state. The first 3-days Chennai
city total gross is 2.52 CR, says trade experts.
Another additional advantage for Kanchana 3 is that the film
has also opened well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Produced and directed by Raghava Lawrence, Sun Pictures
released the film in Tamil Nadu and their television network Sun TV owns the
satellite rights. Lawrence is now all set to start shooting for the Hindi
remake of Kanchana with Akshay Kumar.
