Nirosha Ramki is a Sri Lanka born Indian film actress known for her works predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries. After her debut in the blockbuster Tamil film Agni Natchathiram (1988, directed by Mani Ratnam), Nirosha went on to appear in many successful and critically acclaimed films. She has acted in over 100 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. She was the leading actress from 1988 to 1995. After her marriage with actor Ramki in 1995, she quit film-acting, But after a hiatus, in 2003 she started to work as a supporting actress.
