Actor Shruti Haasan and boyfriend
Michael Corsale have ended their relationship, after dating for a few years. He
blamed the break-up on exigencies of carrying on a long-distance relationship, writing,
“Life has just kept us on opposite sides of the globe unfortunately and so we
have to walk solo paths it seems. But this young lady will always be my best
mate. So grateful to always have…” He also shared a link back to his Instagram
post.
Michael also shared a candid picture
of himself with Shruti and wrote, “This young lady will always be my best mate.
So grateful to always have her as a friend. Luv ya gal.” Both can be seen
making weird faces in the picture.
Shruti, however, did not give any detail
of the break-up or confirmed it. Her latest updates were about a musical night
she was participating in where the actor-singer can be seen singing with a band
in the background. She even had fans cheering for her and applauding her
singing skills.
Shruti has often shared pictures of
them together on her Instagram account. The two have also been spotted together
at airports and a few events. Michael had accompanied Shruti to South actor
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s wedding in December, 2017. The event was also attended
by Shruti’s actor-politician father Kamal Haasan.
She seems to have deleted a few
pictures of her and Michael from her Instagram page. However, there is a
picture of the two posted in October last year with the caption, “All great
dreams begin with dreamers - close your eyes , find a dream and find a friend
that will dream with you.”
Shruti has just begun work on her
Tamil film, Laabam with Vijay Sethupathi. She is also set to return to Hindi
cinema with Mahesh Manjrekar’s directorial venture, Power.
