Director Nag Ashwin is working on the final draft of Nadigayar Thilagam meanwhile the cast of the movie is getting finalised. Dulquer Salmaan will be seen playing Gemini Ganesan’s role in Nadigayar Thilagam, the biopic of legendary actress Savithri. Keerthy Suresh plays Savithri in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which also has Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who plays the role of a journalist. 

 

The film will authentically portray the life of Savithri including her personal relationship with Gemini Ganesan and how she lost all her earnings before her death. Although industry buzz says that the team has also approached Anushka Shetty and Prakash Raj to play pivotal roles, things are yet to be officially confirmed. The principal shoot of Nadigayar Thilagam will start rolling from June

 

ஜெமினிகணேசனாக நடிக்கும் துல்கர் சல்மான் 

 

நடிகை சாவித்ரியின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றை இயக்குனர் நாக் அஷ்வின் படமாக உள்ளார். இறுதிக்கட்ட நடிகர் தேர்வில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள படக்குழுவினர் முக்கிய அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டுள்ளனர். நடிகர் துல்கர் சல்மான் இந்த படத்தில் காதல் மன்னன் ஜெமினி கணேசன் கதாப்பாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க உள்ளார். தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்கில் தயாராகும் இந்த படத்தில் நடிகை கீர்த்தி சுரேஷ் நடிகையர் திலகம் சாவித்ரியாக நடிக்க்கிறார். மற்றுமோர் முக்கிய வேடத்தில் நடிகை சமந்தா நடிக்கிறார். 

 

ஒரு திரைப்படம் போன்றே பலப்பல திருப்பங்களும், அதிர்ச்சிகளும் நிறைந்ததாய் இருந்தது சாவித்ரியின் வாழ்க்கை. உண்மையில் நடந்த சம்பவங்களை அவற்றின் தன்மை மாறாமல் காட்சிப்படுத்த உள்ளனர். நடிகை சாவித்ரி நடிகர் ஜெமினி கணேசனை காதலித்து திருமணம் செய்து, பின்னர் அவரை விட்டு விலகி, போதைக்கு அடிமையாகி, ஏழ்மை நிலைக்கு சென்று, நோய் வாய்ப்பட்டு பல சிரமங்களுக்குப் பின்னர் உயிரிழந்தார். இது பார்வைக்காளர்களின் மனதை தொடும் வகையில் காட்சிகளாக்கப் பட உள்ளன. இந்த படத்தில் முக்கியமான சில கதாப்பாத்திரத்திற்கு நடிகை அனுஸ்கா மற்றும் நடிகர் பிரகாஷ் ராஜையும் படக்குழு அணுகியுள்ளது. படத்தின் ஷூட்டிங் வரும் ஜூன் மாதம் தொடங்கும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
