CHENNAI: Demolition of the fire-ravaged Chennai Silks building at T Nagar began on Friday morning using two mega jaw cutter machines.The eight-storey building could crash on one side if demolition is not done scientifically. The jaw cutters started the demolition job from fourth and fifth floors of the building.The business district of T Nagar, which endured thick smokes for two days since Tuesday will now have to put up with crashing noises, debris and dust.Police took control of the entire area for the third day. They barred anyone from coming with 200 meters of the building.
