The second instalment of S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali' has shattered major records at the box office since the day of its release. With each passing day, the collections are making waves overseas and at the domestic box office. According to a latest reports, the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer has amassed as much as Rs 1000 crore worldwide and became the highest grossing movie of any Indian film ever.
Baahubali 2, which released on friday is unarguably the biggest film of this year.
Baahubali: The Conclusion is released in over 6,500 screens across India in languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Just like the magnum opus of India has collected Rs 100 crores on its first day of release in box office. Going by the booking status in online ticket booking websites, most of the tickets have been sold for the first weekend across South India.
After weeks of smashing box office records by Baahubali: The Conclusion and minting Rs 1000 crore which was a first for an Indian movie, Aamir Khan's Dangal will also join the same club.The movie that released in December 2016 is a story about a wrestler who taught wrestling to his daughters despite all odds.
All thanks to their super success in China, the movie had already set a record by releasing across 9000 screens in China, giving tough competition to magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion, which released across the same number of screens but across the world.And has collected astonishing figures at the China box office. Yes, Dangal is slowly inching towards the Rs 200 crore mark within its first week of release.
