Yeidhavan is an crime drama film written and directed by Sakthi Rajasekaran and produced by Sudhakaran. The film stars Kalaiyarasan plays a male lead role and Satna Titus who debuted last year with the blockbuster ‘Pichaikkaran’, as the female lead and features music composed by newcomer, Paartav Barggo.
Vela Ramamoorthy who has played some notable villain and supporting characters in the films of recent years has played the role of the hero's father in the film. Aadukalam Naren, Rajkumar, Saretheran, Valavan, Charles Vinoth, Sandra Amy, Sowmya and Radha plays a pivotal roles. Gowtham and debutant Krishna have played the lead villains. The Movie cinematography is C.Prem Kumar and edited by I.J.Alen. The movie is released under the banner Friends Festival Films.
Kalaiyarasan (Krishna) is a middle class youngster who runs a firm selling the machines to detect fake currency notes. His younger sister (Sowmiya) aspires to become a Doctor. She fails to get a seat in merit despite getting good marks in board exams. Unable to let go his sister’s dream, Kalaiyarasan collects money beyond his capacity and pays Rs.50 lakhs as capitation fees through an agent and gets a seat in a private medical college. Only later he learns that the approval for the Medical College has been cancelled by the Medical Council of India. The future of the first year students including Kalaiyarasan’s sister who have paid large money to acquire a seat in that college becomes a big question mark.
When he tries to get back the capitation fees his sister dies under mysterious circumstances. Krishna learns that Gowtham (Gowtham) who runs the medical college is behind the death of his sister and he is also out to spoil the future of the students who have started protesting to save their education. Kalaiyarasan decides that it is not just enough to avenge his sister’s death but also he needs to safeguard the medical education and future of the other students of that college. He knows well that he has to use his brain rather than brawn to do that against Gowtham, the selfish and wicked son of an influential businessman who also runs a network of agents and goondas.
