Enga Amma Rani is an drama film directed by S.Bani, starring
Dhansika in the lead role. Yasmin Nadiah, Lynna Andy, Nitia Sree, K S Maniam
Subramaniam, Vairamuthu, Sai Kogila, David Anthony, Gopal Chillayah,
Thiruchelvam Krishnan plays a pivotal roles. Ilaiyaraaja composed the film's
score and soundtrack. The film's tagline says Enga Amma (Our mother) and
Dhansika plays the mother of two daughters. The movie is produced by
C.Muthukrishnan. The banners released under the name of MK Films.

Dhanshika is a single parent lives in Malaysia, whose
husband goes missing after a trip to Cambodia. She has to take care of both the
twin daughters Varsha and Varnika. And also she takes up a job to extend their
stay in Malaysia. Suddenly Dhanshika loses Varsha to a rare disease which does
not show any symptoms. Later Varnika also affected by the same disease. The
rest of the film explains with the efforts of Dhanshika to save Varnika and
what happens to her in the process.
‘Enga Amma Rani’ makes quite an impact as an emotional story
about a mother and daughter, with its limited resources.
