Director Sundar C and Vishal announced that they would work together on a project 'Madha Gaja Raja' in January 2012, and it was revealed that Vishal would portray a triple role in the film along with actors Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. However the plans were put on hold after an appeal filed for a court injunction to stop the film's release by a financier of the film.

Under financial restraints, Gemini Film Circuits had also sold on the film to Vishal's newly launched production studio, Vishal Film Factory, but failed to inform Vishal of the outstanding payment to the financier. Actor Vishal was upset with Producer Counsil and Nadigar Sangam that they didn't intervene in the issue for a solution.

Then Vishal went on to winning the Nadigar Sangam Elections and recently he was elected as the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council. As he hold two powerful roles in Tamil Film Industry, chances are  that Madha Gaja Raja is  likely to have its release soon. Sundar C and Vishal later made a film named Ambala, however it didn't do well in the box office. Vishal has sung a song in Madha Gaja Raja which became an instant hit in social media then.

நடிகர் விஷாலின் 'மத கஜ ராஜா' ரிலீஸ் எப்போது? 

கடந்த 2012ஆம் ஆண்டு சுந்தர்.சி இயக்கத்தில், விஷால், வரலட்சுமி, அஞ்சலி மற்றும் பலர் நடிக்க உருவான படம் மத கஜ ராஜா இரண்டு வருடங்களக்கு முன்பே இப்படம் வெளியாகி இருக்க வேண்டியது. ஒரு கட்டத்தில் படத்தின் நாயகனாக விஷாலே படத்தை வாங்கி வெளியிட கூட முடிவு செய்தார். ஆனால், தயாரிப்பாளரின் நிதிப் பிரச்சனை காரணமாக பட வெளியீடு அப்படியே முடங்கிவிட்டது. 

முன்னர் 'மத கஜ ராஜா' படத்திற்கு நடிகர் சங்கமும், தயாரிப்பாளரை சங்கமும் உதவவில்லை என்று நடிகர் விஷால்  குற்றம் சாற்றி இருந்தார். பின்னர்  நடிகர் சங்க தேர்தலில் நின்று நடிகர் சங்கத்தின் செயலாளர் ஆனார். சமீபத்தில் நடந்த தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்தின் தலைவராகவும் வெற்றி பெற்று தற்போதைய சூழல் தமிழ் சினிமாவின் சக்தி வாய்ந்த நபராக உருவாகி இருக்கிறார் நடிகர் விஷால். இதன் மூலமாக நீண்ட நாட்களாக முடங்கிக் கிடந்த மத கஜ ராஜா படம் விரைவில் வெளிவரும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப் படுகிறது. 

சுந்தர்.சி இயக்கத்தில் விஷால் முதன் முறையாக நடித்துள்ள இந்தப்படம் ஒரு ஆக்ஷன் காமெடியாக உருவாக்கப்பட்ட படம். இந்தப் படத்தின் வெளியீடு நின்று போனதால் சுந்தர்.சியும், விஷாலும் ஆம்பள என்ற படத்தில் மீண்டும் இணைந்தார்கள். இந்த ஆண்டு பொங்கலுக்கு வெளிவந்த இந்தப் படம் தோல்விப் படமாகத்தான் அமைந்தது. மத கஜ ராஜா அந்தத் தோல்வியைத் துடைத்துவிடும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள். இந்த படத்திற்காக ஹிப் ஹாப் தமிழா இசையில் நடிகர் விஷால் ஒரு பாடலை பாடி அது பெரும் ஹிட் ஆனது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது
