Superstar cancels SL trip, Lyca demands 10 crores

The controversy over superstar Rajinikanth travelling to Jaffna in Sri Lanka to inaugurate 150 houses built for displaced Tamils has now become a legal battle. This after Lyca Productions issued a legal notice to Thamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi leader Velmurugan for his defamatory comments broadcast on a Tamil news channel.

In the legal notice sent to Velmurugan, Lyca Productions’ advocates allege that the political leader had stated that the production house was in “nexus with former Sri Lankan President Mr Rajapaksa”. Denying that Lyca Productions had any association with Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan government, the legal notice states that Velmurugan’s comments had defamed the production house and had caused financial loss.

Demanding a compensation of Rs 10 crore and an unconditional apology, a copy of the notice was sent to all media houses.

சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்த் இலங்கை பயணத்தை ரத்து செய்ததன் பின்னரும் அந்த சர்ச்சைகள் நின்றபாடில்லை. எந்திரன் 2.0 படத்தின் தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனமான லைக்கா ப்ரொடக்க்ஷன்ஸ் தமிழக வாழ்வுரிமை கட்சித் தலைவர் வேல்முருகன் மீது வழக்குத்  தொடர்ந்துள்ளது. லைக்கா நிறுவனம் நடத்தி வரும் ஞானம் அறக்கட்டளை மூலமாக இலங்கை வாழ் தமிழர்களுக்கு 150 வீடுகள் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன. அந்த வீடுகளை வழங்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி அடுத்த மாதம் 9ஆம் தேதி யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் நடைபெற இருக்கிறது. இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்ளவே சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினி இலங்கை  செல்ல இருந்தார். 

ஆனால்,பல அரசியல் கட்சித் தலைவர்களின் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்று என்னுடைய பயணத்தை ரத்து செய்வதாக சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்  ரஜினிகாந்த் அறிக்கையில் தெரிவித்து இருந்தார். இது குறித்து நடந்த ஒரு தொலைக்காட்சி நிகழ்ச்சியில் சர்ச்சைக்குரிய கருத்தை தங்களின் நிறுவனத்தின் இது சுமத்தியதால் இந்த சட்ட நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப் படுவதாக லைக்கா நிறுவனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. 

லைக்கா நிறுவனத்தின் பின்னணியில் முன்னாள் இலங்கை அதிபர் ராஜபக்ஷே இருப்பதாக கூறி இருந்தார் வேல்முருகன். இதன் மூலம் தங்களது மீது களங்கம் கற்பிப்பதாகவும் அதற்கு ஈடாக 10 கோடி ரூபாய் நஷ்டஈடு தரவேண்டும் எனவும் லைக்கா நிறுவனம் தங்களது நோட்டீஸில் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
