Kuttram 23 is a crime thriller film written and directed by Arivazhagan. The film starcasts are Srun Vijay, Mahima Nambiar, in lead roles. Vamsi Krishna, Aravind Akash and Thambi Ramaiah amongst others in supporting roles. The movie is produced by Inder Kumar. The album and background score for the movie is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar.

The producers initially announced a release date of 14 January 2017 but later opted out as they failed to get as many screens as they had desired, owing to the proposed release of several films including Bairavaa (2017). A release date of 3 March 2017 was subsequently announced by Inder Kumar. The film had a special screening for distributors before the film was sold to the distributors.
